Artist Profile :

A world-renowned international Filipino visual artist and sculptor. Datuin is renowned for his commissioned mural and sculptural works at the Rizal Park. His “Dancing Rings,” earned him the winning piece in the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

For over forty years, Datuin has also exhibited in both local and international galleries and museums in Asia, North America, and Europe. Recent international exhibitions including the “In Reverie of Form” at the Agora Gallery in New York, USA (2015);” X and XI Florence Bieannale” at the Fortezza Da Basso, Florence, Italy (2015 and 2017); and the “Anima Mundi International Art Festival” during the 57th Venice Biennale at the Palazzo Ca’Zanardi in Venice, Italy (2017). He was granted an art residency and scholarship at the Vermont Studio Center, Vermont, USA (2002).
