About Artist :

Juno Galang was born in Manila in December of 1942. He studied Fine Arts major in Advertising at the University of Santo Tomas. Naturally inclined towards drawing from an early age, Juno was mainly self-taught. He spent most of his teenage years hanging around Ermita, Manila (the Greenwich Village of Manila where he learned painting techniques from the old masters. Although Galang paints in various mediums, he is best recognized for the vibrant color of his oils and acrylics. He is also known for portraying the “color and flavor” of people and places with precision. His technique requires endless hours of exacting brush strokes and a keen eye and detail, often combining traditional painting skills with contemporary abstraction and translucency.

Galang has shown and exhibited his works at Diamond Head Galleries, Picture Plus, and Martin and MacArthur all in Hawaii islands. Hidden Dreams, Laguna Beach-California, James Coleman Signature Gallery St. Augustine-Florida and Endangered Arts Gallery, Hilton Head-South Carolina. Most of his collectors come from Japan, China, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand, and the US.
